Living in the early days of a better nation

Democratic Left Scotland’s National Council met on Saturday May 21st to discuss the impact of the ‘Scottish Spring’.  The potential created by the new Salmond government was considered within the context of fostering the self-determination in citizens, communities and workplaces; part of developing a confident and outward-looking nation. 

This discussion will be taken forward at Democratic Left’s forthcoming AGM on Saturday June 11th.  The afternoon session begins at 1.30pm in Quaker Meeting House, 7 Victoria Terrace, Edinburgh EH1 2JL.  Entitled:  Living in the early days of a better nation – Revitalising hope for a better world. The discussion is open to Democratic Left members, Perspectives readers and friends.
